Vibrant CP1 titanium pie cuts require TIG (GTAW) welding using CP grade titanium filler wire (ERTi-1 or ERTi-2). Total atmospheric isolation is mandatory; full internal Argon back-purging and a large trailing shield ceramic cup must be utilized to prevent weld contamination and embrittlement.

Each individual cut in MPN 13275 provides a 9° angle. When all 5 pieces in the pack are welded end-to-end, they construct a 45° elbow with a 5.75" (146.05 mm) centerline radius. Two bags (10 pie cuts) can be combined to fabricate a complete 90° bend.

No, titanium cannot be directly fusion welded to stainless steel or aluminium due to incompatible metallurgy that causes brittle intermetallic compound failure. To join a titanium exhaust section to a stainless steel header or downpipe, mechanical connections such as Vibrant titanium slip-fit joints or V-band assemblies must be used.
