The AutoMeter 2278 adapter fitting features an M12x1.75 male metric thread on the outer side and a 1/8" NPT female thread on the inner port. It converts metric M12x1.75 sensor ports to accept standard 1/8" NPT gauge senders and sensors.

This adapter is ideal for installing aftermarket oil pressure or water/oil temperature senders into engine blocks with M12x1.75 thread ports, such as GM Ecotec series engines, GM LS metric ports, and various domestic and import performance applications.

While standard 1/8" NPT electric and mechanical sensors thread directly into the fitting, if you are using an AutoMeter Short Sweep Electric Temperature Gauge, sender unit #2259 is required to ensure accurate temperature sensing and proper depth clearance inside the adapter.
