The ARP AR8604 Head Stud Kit (cross-referenced with ARP #208-4304) is manufactured from premium 8740 chromoly steel alloy and heat-treated in-house to achieve a massive 200,000 PSI tensile strength rating. Specifically designed for Honda H22, H22A, and H22A4 VTEC engines, this kit eliminates head gasket lift and cylinder head movement under high-boost, high-compression, or nitrous conditions.
Each stud undergoes precision centerless grinding to achieve near-perfect concentricity, followed by thread rolling after heat treatment. This advanced process results in significantly greater fatigue strength than conventional studs threaded prior to heat treatment.
