Wrapping Vibrant Clean Cut Tape tightly around the cut area binds the stainless steel wire strands together before you cut with an angle grinder, cut-off wheel, or fine-tooth saw. The tape absorbs friction and holds the outer braid flush against the inner core, eliminating stray wires and flare.

While PN 2970 white tape is designed specifically for stainless steel braided hose, Vibrant recommends applying a layer of clear adhesive film (PN 2971) first when working on nylon braided hose, followed by a layer of white tape, to protect the delicate nylon fibers from tearing during cutting.
