These valley plates are machined smooth on the underside, allowing for the elimination of Displacement-On-Demand (DOD) or Active Fuel Management (AFM), and instead feature O-Ring gaskets to seal them off. An extra 90-degree provision is bolted to the top of the valley plate for re-installing the oil pressure sensor if necessary.
